The Art of the Throw
Knife Master takes the classic knife-throwing concept and turns it into a precision addiction test. A log spins in front of you, and you throw knives one at a time by clicking or tapping. Simple, right? Except the log is already studded with knives from your previous throws, and if your new knife hits an existing one, the game is over. Every level requires you to land a specific number of knives to advance.
The rotation speed and direction change between levels. Some levels throw in boss rounds where the target moves erratically or reverses direction mid-throw. The difficulty curve is smooth but relentless — by level 20, you're threading needles on every single throw.
Controls
- Click / Tap / Spacebar — Throw a knife
- That's it. One input, infinite frustration and satisfaction.
Timing Is Everything
The gap between knives on the spinning target shrinks with each successful throw. Early knives are easy because there's plenty of open space. The last few knives in each round require surgical precision because you're aiming for narrow slivers of open space.
Tips for Consistency
Count the Rotation
Don't just react to what you see. Count the rotation rhythm of the target. Most levels use a consistent speed, so if you time your first few throws to the beat of the rotation, you can maintain that rhythm for the whole round.
Throw in the Spaces
After each throw, quickly identify the largest remaining gaps and time your next throw for when that gap reaches the drop zone. Don't aim for where the gap is — aim for where it will be when the knife lands.
Stay Calm During Boss Rounds
Boss targets move unpredictably, but they still follow patterns. Watch for a beat or two before throwing. There's no time pressure — rushing into a bad throw is always worse than waiting for the right moment.
- If you're struggling on a level, close the game and come back — your rhythm resets and you'll often clear it first try
- The knife drops straight down from a fixed point, so only the horizontal timing matters
- Later levels introduce apples you can hit for bonus points — grab them when the gap is safe enough
FAQ
How many levels are in Knife Master? The game has dozens of levels with increasing difficulty. Boss rounds appear every five levels and feature unique target behaviors.
What happens when I hit another knife? The round immediately ends and you have to restart that level from the beginning. There are no extra lives or continues — every throw matters.
Is there a way to earn extra points? Hit the bonus apples that appear on some spinning targets. They're placed in tight spots, so going for them adds risk, but the point bonus is worth it if you're confident in your timing.
