Getting Started

You are on a sled, hurtling down a snow-covered mountain at full speed, dodging trees, rocks, snowmen, and wooden fences. One collision and it is game over. The further you travel, the higher your score climbs.

The whole point is distance. There is no finish line. Every run is procedurally generated, so you never get the exact same course twice. That keeps things fresh even after dozens of attempts.

• Do not recklessly chase gifts. Swerving into a tree to grab a present ends your run and costs you everything.
• Prioritize staying alive over collecting. A long run with fewer gifts beats a short run with a few extra presents.
• Gifts tend to spawn in slightly safer positions. If you see a cluster of gifts, that path is usually cleaner than the alternatives.

Survival Strategies

The mountain gets harder the further you go. Obstacles appear faster, gaps between them shrink, and reaction time becomes critical.

• Look ahead, not at your sled. Your eyes should be focused about two to three seconds down the mountain. Reacting to what is right in front of you is too late at high speeds.
• Small movements win. Tap the arrow keys gently instead of holding them. Overcorrecting sends you careening into obstacles on the opposite side.
• Learn the obstacle patterns. Trees, rocks, and fences have predictable spawn logic. After enough runs, you will start recognizing safe corridors instinctively.
• Stay centered when possible. Hugging one side limits your escape options when obstacles appear suddenly.

Dealing with Speed

As your run progresses, the sled speeds up significantly. Your steering inputs need to get smaller and more precise. What worked at 30 seconds into a run will send you crashing at the 60-second mark. Adapt by gentling your inputs as speed increases.
