Stickman Empires — Build Your Stick Nation

Stickman Empires is a strategy game wrapped in stick-figure aesthetics. You start with a tiny village and a handful of stick workers. Your goal is to grow that village into a sprawling empire by managing resources, training armies, and conquering neighboring territories. It sits in that sweet spot between casual and hardcore strategy — easy enough to pick up but deep enough to keep you engaged for hours.

Your First Steps

When you begin, you have a town hall, three workers, and a small supply of gold and food. Assign your workers to gather resources. Gold comes from the mine. Food comes from farms. You need both to train soldiers and construct buildings. Early game is all about establishing a steady resource income before expanding.

Resource Management

  • Gold: Used for building construction, soldier training, and upgrades. Mined by workers.
  • Food: Required to keep your population fed and happy. Produced by farms. Running out of food causes your workers to slow down and soldiers to desert.
  • Population: Limited by housing. Build more houses to increase your population cap.
  • Morale: Affected by food supply, recent battles, and entertainment buildings. High morale boosts productivity.

Buildings to Prioritize

Not every building is equal in the early game. Here is a smart build order:

  1. Second Farm: Secure your food supply immediately.
  2. Barracks: Unlock soldier training so you can defend against early raids.
  3. Second Mine: Boost gold income for faster expansion.
  4. Houses: Increase population cap when you are ready to train more workers or soldiers.
  5. Blacksmith: Unlocks weapon and armor upgrades for your army.

Combat System

Battles happen in real-time. You select your units, choose a target, and watch them fight. Unit types have rock-paper-scissors relationships:

  • Swordsmen beat Spearmen
  • Spearmen beat Cavalry
  • Cavalry beat Archers
  • Archers beat Swordsmen

Building a balanced army is critical. Sending only swordsmen into a fight against archers will end badly no matter how many you have.

Expansion Tips

  • Scout before attacking. Send a single fast unit to check what defenses a territory has before committing your army.
  • Do not overextend. Capturing territory costs units. If your army is depleted, you cannot defend what you just took. Consolidate, rebuild, then push further.
  • Upgrade before expanding. A smaller territory with upgraded troops is stronger than a large territory with basic soldiers.
  • Watch your food. Every territory you control increases your food consumption. If income does not keep up with demand, your empire crumbles from within.

FAQ

Q: Can I play Stickman Empires peacefully without attacking other empires? A: You can focus on economy and defense, but eventually rival empires will attack you. Building a strong defensive army is essential regardless of your playstyle.

Q: How do I unlock advanced units like siege weapons? A: Advanced units require specific buildings. Siege weapons need a Siege Workshop, which unlocks after building a Blacksmith and reaching population level 30.

Q: Is there multiplayer in Stickman Emppires? A: The current version is single-player only. You compete against AI-controlled rival empires that grow and expand alongside you.
